It's all about the glitter

My inbox is currently flooded with emails from different shops selling all kinds of sparkly clothes for christmas and new years eve, and that’s why I decided to collect 5 other ways to spice up your look with glitter this month

1. The nails
I never thought I would find a glitter nail polish that is actually good, until I found this gold glitter top coat by L’oréal Paris. Looks amazing on top of a black nail polish!

L’oréal Paris - Top coat; Volume Million Lashes
L’oréal Paris - Top Coat; Gold leaf
2. Hair mascara
Yes, you heard right! I recently found this glitter hair mascara and I thought it would be a fun thing to wear on New Years Eve! You simply just divide your hair into sections and run the brush through.

3. The face
I never thought glitter top coat mascaras would actually look good, but I must say, L’oréal Paris made a really amazing one for a fair price. You could also go for a glitter eyeshadow or maybe eyeliner.
The Body Shop; All Over Body Shimmer

4. Body shimmer
I instantly fell in love with this body shimmer from The Body Shop. Not only does it look good, but it’s also infused with a Japanese Cherry Blossom scent.

5. The accessories
Sparkly jewelries, watches or even bags.. Anything can work

London - i'm in love

''Travel while you're young and able.
Don't worry about the money, just make it work.
Experience is far more valuable than money will ever be''

at the moment i have this need to travel! unfortunately that isn't possible so I thought I would make a post about: LONDON

I've been in London twice and fell in love right away. The city is so alive - the people and the atmosphere is incredible and it was all so fascinating. When i was there this summer (2014) i could feel how much I've been missing the city and maybe that sounds crazy but that's the effect it has on me. I could spend years shopping on oxford street and visit every single museum.
Everyone should have the opportunity to see London someday, and i hope i can go back very soon. There are so many cities i haven't been to yet and like everyone else i wanna visit as many as possible..

I think i'm gonna make a list about places i wanna visits and places I've been to.

xx Julie :)

Recent purchases | Forever21

Hey you guys, it's been a while since my last post, so I thought I would show you a few of the things I bought from Forever21 x
(If you're from Europe, remember to visit the European website (www.forever21.com/EU) - It's not fun to find a lot of clothes you'd like to buy from the American website. You'll just get disappointed when you're about to pay, and you find out they don't ship to your country. Trust me, I've made that mistake a few times).

I was looking for a basic shirt that would look good with my hair colour. The colour looked a bit different on the website, but I actually like this one better than the one I thought I had bought - lucky for me ;)

Even though this dress is a really basic one, it is definitely my favorite out of all three items, and I'm sure I'm gonna wear this a lot in the future!

This skirt was just too cute and cheap not to buy!

ASOS - favourite items

hey guys, happy 5th DECEMBER!

This is a post about my favourite ASOS items - winter edition. Asos is my go to shop no matter which season we're in and my all time favourite. I think that no matter what you are looking for (clothes, shoes, accessories) they have it all, and to a small amount of money. You just gotta love Asos ;-)

If you click on the pictures, it opens a new window so you can see the items on their website!

Winter To Do List

This year I've been really excited for winter. I just love sitting under blankets with a cup of hot chocolate, having snowball fights and most of all; christmas! I can't possibly be the only one, so that's why I've decided to make a little "to do list" or bucket list for this winter!

Winter to do list
  • Write and post christmas cards
.. the old fashioned way, because they're just so much more fun to make (and receive)

  • Decorate
Have fun decorating the christmas tree with your family, or decorate your room with fairy lights and candles to get yourself into the christmas spirit (if you're not already)

  • Christmas shopping
The best time of the year to go shopping (in my opinion). You can get presents for your friends and family (check out our two other blogposts "Julie's wish list" and "All I want for christmas is..." for inspiration), or you can buy a cute outfit for christmas or new years eve. Christmas songs are playing at the mall and when you need a break you can stop by a café for a cup of hot chocolate. What's not to love?

  • Play in the snow
Or at least sit down and watch the snow fall. But to be honest, you just never get too old to play in the snow. Get up, put on your boots, jacket and gloves and have a snowball fight or build a snowman.

  • "Hygge"
A Danish word no Dane can explain in English, but it's basically chilling by the fire in your pajamas while playing boardgames and drinking hot chocolate... Nice and cosy

  • Make awesome plans on New Years eve
.. To start off the new year in a good way!

  • January sale shopping
Yes, even more shopping.. and for even less money ;)

All I want for christmas is...

Happy 1st December! Because it’s officially christmas and time to start thinking about what to get your friends or what to put on your own wish-list, I thought I would come up with a few ideas for all of you. The list is going to include things you can buy for your friends/family, and some of the things I have on my own wish-list for you to get inspiration from.

THE WISH-LIST

  • Perfumes
Perfumes can be really expensive, and because there’s many different kinds of them, so it can be a bit challenging to get the right one. If you’re the one wishing for a perfume, remember to make it clear exactly which one it is you want.

  • Makeup kits or sets
If you look on websites like Sephora there’s almost 300 makeup kits or sets in a price range from $5 to $600, so there should be something for everyone.

  • Gift cards
For some people it might be a bit disappointing to “just" get a gift card, but honestly, it’s better than getting something you don’t want, right? So if you’re in a rush or you just don’t know what to buy someone; this will always be a winner!
(example: ASOS, iTunes, Topshop, WHSmith, H&M, Starbucks or maybe a café).
Another idea could be to make one yourself

  • Curling-/straightening iron and hair products
Because your hair can get quite messy in the winter …. like mine...

  • The Body Shop products
It’s funny how those products always seems to be on my wish-list, I just can’t get enough of them! Shower gels, lip balms, delicious lotions, makeup, makeup brushes… I just love it!

  • Concert tickets
If you love concerts just as much as I do, this would be the perfect gift to give either your friends or parents - or maybe even receive yourself.

  • Merchandise
Whether you like bands or TV series, this could be something for you to wish for! Etsy.com has a lot of amazing handmade merchandise. I once bought a few things from there.
  • Room decor
Notebooks, pillows, sticky notes, cute frames, ring holders, candles, fake plants… the list goes on

Hottie of the month

NOVEMBER

With inspiration from the lovely Alli Simpson, we decided our blog needed a “hottie of the month”. From now on, we can guarantee you pictures of hot guys of our choice every month the 26th.
Get ready for some eye candy ;)

Hottie of the Month Luke Hemmings
Luke Hemmings | Caroline
This monday I was watching performances from the American Music Awards the night before (timezones sucks) and it was clear right away that my “hottie of the month” would have to be Luke Hemmings. Who doesn’t love a tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed guy with a lip ring? I know I do!

Evan Peters | JulieI've been obsessing over season 2 of AHS this month - that show is so catchy... But Evan in that season is so freaking attractive, you can't get enough of that beautiful smile. He is my november hottie, and to you who haven't watched the show, DO IT NOW and agree with me on this one ;)

Fire is catching

“..And if we burn, you burn with us”, said the girl on fire; Katniss Everdeen aka Jennifer Lawrence, in the latest Hunger Games movie Mockingjay part 1. As usual, after watching one of these movies, I was left completely speechless!

- might contain spoilers if you haven’t watched the first two movies -

Yesterday I watched this movie in the cinema, and it certainly didn’t disappoint me at all, which is why I wanted to post this and maybe encourage some of you guys to see it as well :))
First of all, I’d like to say that I think Katniss’ character was really impressing. Even though she’s more vulnerable than ever after being saved from the second game, she manages to stay strong and join the revolution to fight for the ones she loves.
But not only Katniss impressed me.. All the actors played so well, that it actually made you feel like you were a part of the movie. The plot also seemed much like the one in the book, and they'd even included a lot of the quotes from the book (a big thumbs up for that!!!)
This movie is a little bit different from the two previous ones, and even though I had read the book beforehand, it didn’t disappoint me or make me like it any less.
I can highly recommend this movie, because it’s definitely a movie worth spending some money on (especially if you liked the first two movies, or other movies like Divergent for example).
Mockingjay pin
If I had to rate it, it would be a solid 6 out of 6 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Let me know if you’ve seen the movie, and what you think of it!
Love, Caroline
